How we calculate it

Revenue = Pageviews * Ads per page * (CTR / 100) * CPC

Example

100,000 pageviews, 3 ads/page, 1% CTR, $0.30 CPC:
Revenue = 100000 * 3 * 0.01 * 0.30 = $900 / month

What is Google AdSense?

AdSense is a Google program that allows publishers (website owners) to earn money by displaying ads. Google pays for every click or impression of an ad.

What matters most

  • CTR: traffic quality and ad placement
  • CPC: country, niche, season (US/UK usually $1.00+)
  • Geolocation: US/UK traffic has 3-5× higher CPC than other regions
  • Niche: finance, insurance, law have the highest CPC

Warning: This is a rough estimate. Actual revenue depends on traffic quality, seasonality, and ad placement optimization.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why is my AdSense revenue low?

Small markets have less advertiser competition, pushing CPC down (commonly $0.10 - $0.20). In comparison, US/UK traffic often has CPC $1.00+. Local websites must compensate for this with higher traffic volume.

What is RPM and why is it better than CPC?

RPM (Revenue Per Mille) tells you how much you earn from 1000 pageviews, regardless of clicks. It's a more comprehensive metric because it also accounts for CTR. If you have RPM $5, you can easily scale: 100k views = $500.

Is it worth putting more ads on the page?

To some extent, yes (increases "Ads per Page"), but beware of "Ad Blindness" and Google penalties. If there are too many ads, users leave (high Bounce Rate) and CTR drops. Optimal is 3-4 well-placed units.

Why it matters

For publishers and content creators, AdSense is often the first step to monetization. Many people have unrealistic expectations ("I'll get rich from a blog"), but math doesn't lie.

This calculator gives you a reality check – showing the real math of traffic vs. earnings. It allows you to decide whether it's worth investing time in creating content for ads, or if you should choose another model (affiliate, own products) which might yield 10× higher revenue with the same traffic.
